Second start for Aldegheri looks pretty good. I saw the beginning of his first start and it was pretty shaky. He only gave up 2 earned runs, but he also gave up 5 more unearned in his first inning and he was really shaky. The error was not his fault, but he also served up like 5 consecutive hits after that and really looked like he lost his command.
He recovered nicely in that start to get through 5, but my impression really was that he did not belong yet. He has a starter's mix of pitches, but none are really plus. He'll need great command and a little more movement to really succeed. Really nice development story for the Phillies, but also a pitcher that is probably a 5th starter type in the long run.
