Missed this one back in December--one-time Phillies prospect Anthony Gose, whom the Phillies traded to the Astros in the Roy Oswalt deal, signed a minor league contract with a ML camp invite with the Mets. Gose has had an interesting career. After acquiring him from the Phillies, the Astros immediately flipped Gose--then an OFer--to the Blue Jays for Brett Wallace whom the Jays acquired from the Athletics for Roy Halladay tradee Michael Taylor.. Prior to 2012, he was a top 100 prospect as an OFer but never lived up to expectations with either the Jays or Tigers through 2016. At that point, he reinvented himself as a LHP eventually making it back to ML with the Indians in 2021 and pitched with the Indians/Guardians in 31 relief appearances between 2021 and 2023-24.

It was interesting to note all those moving parts in the Halladay and Oswalt deals. It was almost like a four-team trade in which the Phillies got Halladay and Oswalt, the Blue Jays got Drabek, D'Arnauld, and Gose, the Astros got Happ, Villar and Wallace and the Athletics got Taylor.
