Philadelphia Phillies Affiliates

We are probably beyond the need for a daily thread as there are only 2 teams left (and only Lehigh Valley next week). Lehigh Valley loses yesterday so their postseason odds decrease. Darick Hall did go deep again. Looking for him to be recalled at some point though maybe not this week when they are on the road.

Castellanos not ready for a week. Might rehab next week for a game or two.

In minor news, Vinny did get to pitch to Vito last night at LHV.

Griff McGarry had a very nice 2 inning relief outing for the IPs (who lost) (3 Ks, no hits, 1 BB). Hall was 0/4 with a walk.

Reading won in AA with Rojas 1/3 with 2 BBs. Must have been an alternate universe since he didn't attempt to steal...

I guess we will probably never see him fulfill his wish of getting to the majors. Maybe the Phillies can activate for a single game at the end of a season, but that probably has other ramifications for the team. I bet there a ton of guys that would accept a 1game trip to the 60 man to make room for him, but that kinda stunt may not be allowed by the league.

The most amazing thing to me about Rojas is not the 61 steals this season, it's that he is 61 out of 65 in trying!

And Rojas walked 3 times last night. If he can improve plate discipline and get on more via walks, we are talking about a bright future.

Larger bases, fewer pickoff throws. Future baseball could be made for Rojas.

It is part of the reason re-signing Hoskins probably won't make sense absent more trades of expensive contracts. We are hopefully going to want to slide Schwarber or Castellanos back to 1B to clear another outfield spot. Marsh has to hit of course, but I kind of like what I have seen from him the past couple of weeks.

We’ll that was a bummer for Painters last start. 5 er in 4 innings, 2 hr and the loss.

Looked like the battle of first round picks - both Gonzalez and Davis hit homers off of Painter.
