I wonder if Francisco Loreto is a sleeper to watch at FCL. He was a catcher signed in the 2024 class but without an announced bonus. 680 OPS last year at age 17 in the DSL playing all but one game at catcher. This year he is leading off for FCL playing 2B and 3B and hitting .300 in the early going (tiny SSS). Important part is that he is leading off. That means the Phillies want to get him the most plate appearances so the best prospects like Aliro Ferrebus are all stacked up 1-4 in the lineup. Still 17 until June so he is relatively young for his class.

Anyone know when Painter is scheduled to pitch again at home for the Pigs?

They don’t schedule more than the current week out concretely, the IronPigs run a 5 man rotation, but manipulated so Painter pitched on Thursday, but it is no guarantee that he gets 6 days again. So either Wednesday 5/21 or Thursday 5/22 is the best guess, but we won’t really know until Monday or Tuesday
