Hopefully Burkholder is OK after stepping on first awkwardly and coming out of the game. One exciting thing about the next few weeks in Clearwater is that this team already qualified for the playoffs. They played .652 ball and won the first half. Now in the second half they were generally lousy after a few of their better players like Miller got promoted. They are only 12-29 in the second half but looks like they got almost a completely new team.

Too bad there is not much pitching there, but that lineup will be fun to watch in the playoffs.

Highlights from last night:

"Welcome to the Minor Leagues, Griffin Burkholder!"

Dante Nori delivers on his first pro hit and RBIs!

Lucky number 3!

Clearly we drafted speed this year.

Burkholder looked good, so do DeMartini, Spikerman and Nori. I hope they all do well.

Horrible thing for Burkholder if his injury is serious. Such an exciting time for him, first professional league game, and he has to hobble off the field...

If he could get his average up, he would really be close to a top prospect. The power numbers are decent, and he's still just 19.

Mick Abel with (I think first time this year?) back-to-back strong starts. Too many walks last night but still good results: 5 IP, 3H, 0 ER, 4 BB, 7 K
