I thought it was an arm injury. In any case, he pitched 11 innings this season and then went on IL. Decent ERA and plus K-rate but too many HRs and too many walks in those 11 IP.

I wonder if Rosario or Tate will go to Clearwater. Rosario has tailed off a bit. I guess this is a bit of an odd promotion though since there is much more DSL season ahead than FCL. I guess all the catchers could be in the mix for late season Clearwater play. Hettiger is the only decent prospect there now since Caicuto got promoted.

It is a little odd that our Australian catcher is floating between the 2 DSL rosters but has not played. I wonder if they just know he is not ready this year so they are offloading his roster spot to the DSL while he matures and he'll go back home and play in the ABL this winter followed by FCL next year.

In other DSL catcher news, Australian catcher Declan Speirs was moved from DSL White to Red, he has yet to play this year, but one of the DSL Red catchers obviously just got promoted.

He might also might not be done school yet. He just turned 19 10 days ago and PG had him listed as class of 2024. So this is likely offloading a roster spot, and maybe he does play in the DSL. Red did just lose Ferrebus to the FCL.

I am just curious. I had thought the DSL was limited to Latin American countries by agreement. Years ago I think Mike Piazza might have played a bit down there but today I think there are more developmental rules and the domestic roster limits are just complicating things.

Maybe they just need to kick the domestic limits up to 180 again and have no 60-day IL exemptions or something like that. Teams really should not have too much latitude to game these limits. Or organizational limits of 250-260 regardless of where the kids play.
