I don't know if this thread is over or not but...
Game 1 yesterday: Phillies could manage only four hits while the Rockies stay hot and prevail 4-2 as the Phillies lose their first postseason game in fourteen years. Though the Phillies were playing in October, it didn't feel like October with a gametime temperature of 81 degrees. That year, summerlike temperatures pretty much hung around into early November. My backyard vegetable garden was still producing a bumper crop of tomatoes a week before Thanksgiving. We got about two weeks of genuine fall weather in mid-November before, BAM!, we went headlong into winter.
Game 2 today: Evan warmer than the day before at 82 degrees. Kendrick pitched like a rookie while the bullpen, particularly Mesa, was rocked in a 10-5 defeat. All of the sudden, our season is back on the brink.
