Thomson says he wasn’t available. I don’t understand that. I was sure he was going to pitch the ninth. There is something strange about the way he is being used.
Couldn't pitch three days in a row. Makes perfect sense. It's not just the pitch counts or number of batters but the warming up. What doesn't make sense was not getting more out of him in those other games.
