I had the chance to listen to a brief part of the game early on by the Mets radio team via XM radio. They were really critical of Hoskins. Called him a one-trick-pony. Then after he doubled but got thrown out at third on a ground out, they went on and on about how that was such a blunder even little leaguers run the bases better than Hoskins.
Gosh, I guess I am relieved to see Parker out but then I see Vincent pitching and I have to wonder. He should be able to get a good inning every once in a while. Fingers crossed.
Vincent was a decent pitcher prior to his surgery so maybe he will be better next year. I wonder if the Phillies can sign some of these relief arms to minor league contracts with invite to spring training. I guess it depends on what else they can get from other clubs and maybe how they view the organization from the inside.
