The JT ab bat looming even larger now.

Jerar Encarnacion singles on a line drive to left fielder Kyle Schwarber.
The heck with it just put Sanchez in there.
I still wonder why Alvarado cannot throw more than 9 pitches.
You gotta think they do believe he is not a good two-inning pitcher - or at least, that once he's down, he can't get back up. Match-ups also part of it sometimes I'm sure.
Coonrod back up.

I don't see why they think Alvarado can't pitch a second inning but Robertson can.
That said, I think they also considered that Alvarado pitcher (briefly) last night and that there were three righty batters to start the inning.

Cannot say anything bad about JT in the field. Nice hustle to get the second out.

Miguel Rojas grounds into a force out, fielded by shortstop Edmundo Sosa. Luke Williams out at 2nd.
Miami Marlins
Philadelphia Phillies
Another big time win.
Another one run win for the Phillies. Brogdon gets the save in spite of the home run.
Sosa with another solid night with the bat and in the field. He is hot and I'd start him again tomorrow.
Phillies win series and go for a sweep tomorrow night.
Whew! Going to our bullpen is like walking a tightrope!
Thomson is still a genius.
Sosa's last ten plate appearances: 8 for 9 with 2 homers, 4 doubles, 2 singles and a walk.
I think Robertson has a long, legit history of being a multi-inning (and non-platoon) reliever. That they have overused him is a separate thing.
Did they fix something with his swing, or is it just an amazing hot streak I wonder??
Probably a little of both. But he hit last year didn't he?
Funny how the sky was falling in SF and now the NBC talking heads (including Kruk and Ruben) are all about how far they can go in the playoffs and how they can't lose games on purpose to try and pick their seed.
Sosa has gone from 197/250/283 (a 533 OPS) to 232/282/372 (a 654 OPS). That's quite a last 4 games, but still below replacement level at the plate. Needs to draw more walks; about double what he does.
