I suspect many of our starters are simply tired/dead arm. Syndergaard is at 115 IP after not pitching in 2020 and pitching 10 innings in 2021. Gibson at 141 IP as a 34 year old. He pitched more innings last year, but his IP with Phillies were at almost twice the ERA as his earlier 113 IP for Texas.
