Folks wondered why Joe gave JT a day off yesterday. (OK, that didn't quite work out, thank Heaven!) Look at what he is going through in this game, which is not unlike so many other games. Already over 130 pitches, going on 4 hours, the stress of nursing a tired or even under-qualified bullpen to three outs an inning. After every single game, he must be as mentally exhausted as he is physically. I love the guy being behind the plate but certainly see the need to cut him some slack.
