Is the Apple broadcast crew always this dull?

No. Usually they have a better PBP person and the color person is someone from each team.

I wish MLB would stop this elimination of games from the MLB package. They are devaluing their basic TV product, at least that is the way it looks to me.

No different than when a game is on ESPN or FS1 and not available on local TV or MLB.TV (Fox as well though anyone can watch that for free with an antenna). That's just the way the biz has changed. When these national networks (and now streaming services) write the checks they are paying for exclusivity. MLB doesn't have the leverage the NFL did to keep its Thursday games on local TV (but they're still not available on Sunday Ticket). The patchwork is clearly not sustainable, just like the RSNs and blackout rules aren't, but it's gonna take a while.

At least you arent me. Im in central Illinois. Which means I cant watch MLB.tv every time we play the Cubs, WhiteSox or Cards. So thats at least 15 games a year. Plus I lose the Peacock and Apple games. So I lose over 10% of the games. Yes I could watch the Cubs and Cards on their channel.. but I dont want to listen to their announcers.
