Final
Sadly, not an unfamiliar result this week, but a very unsatisfying game.
No offense. Dismal pitching. Almost always a loss.
Need a win tomorrow.
While this loss can't be pinned on one player alone, I've about had my fill with Sanchez for awhile. The last two games he's pitched: 4.1 IP, 5 H, 6 BB, 1 HBP, 6 ER. The walks with the bases loaded are especially frustrating. Hope he turns it around, quickly.
The Brewers also lost, so still 3.5 games up on them. At this point, I'd rather finish behind the Padres, let them slug it out with the Braves or Mets, I'd rather face the Cardinals in the first round.
Boy, how many games are they going to play this week where it's like, "just forget it, wipe the slate clean, move on?"
But yeah like I said up thread, 6th would be just fine. And they can still salvage the trip with two wins. But at least get one.
Ha. I've wondered the same. It's the first thing I thought of after the first Diamondback game. Then the second one happened. Now this.
