No question that the Phillies have hit a real skid and have really struggled trying to win a series. As much as I hate to see this, I have to admit to myself that if is not really surprising. They have exceeded expectations and in a long season, the young and less experienced team has worn down, but as they struggle here late in the season, my hope is that they are growing, maturing, and becoming better players going forward.
I sure have not given up hope for a NL East championship. However, they will have to start winning series starting in Miami and continuing on through the month. It can happen.
