Outstanding pitching tonight but no offense. Hope the bullpen can continue to throw up goose eggs.

Not holding it against him in such a tight game but I was just thinking Estevez was due for a rough one (and he also gave up the HR Rojas couldn't handle the other night, which had a 95% chance off being a hit).

Milwaukee Brewers 2 - Philadelphia Phillies 1
Suddenly, i have a very bad feeling about things.
Final
Philadelphia Phillies
Milwaukee Brewers
Phillies lose series but did win one game, so they remain in a good position.
Series in New York remains very important.
Good pitching tonight but Phillies hitters just could not refrain from striking out, over and over and over again.
Expect the worst then you can't be disappointed.
16 K’s. That cost us in this game
Time to switch Castellanos and Bohm in the order.
I also wonder why they issue a IBB and let the runner go to second on defensive indifference. Not that it mattered since the winning run was on third with no outs. Only the Phillies would have been unable to get the runner home.
Team has been striking out at an alarming rate lately.
Yeah. They might not even make the playoffs.
They did what they had to do on the road against this team, get the one win. And Nola bounced back. The hitters, well....
MLB announcers jinxed Estevez. Were complimenting Dombro on his acquisition, and Chourio tripled literally seconds later.
For real, I was thinking about this with regards to the Kimbrel news. He was spectacularly bad for a very long time, but any of these guys can have a bad two weeks or a bad month. That was Estevez in April. Better September than October.
But also Estevez can't hear the announcers (or read our posts during the games).
Phillies are 4-1 this season when striking out 16 times in a game (including last nights win).
Franzke and Stocker were discussing that prior to tonight, the Phils were 4-0 this season in games where they struck out 16 times or more. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
edit: ninja-ed by bkox!
And they'd won like 30 games with the starting pitchers going 7 or something.
Still well up on the Brewers. LA lead shakier. And of course locking down the best record in NL or MLB only matters if the best possible team is on the other side too (and if we are).
That Mets-Braves series should be something.
