At least great football teams are suppose to win 75% of their games and great quarterbacks are supposed to complete 65% of their passes. In baseball that's how often you fail, even against mediocre pitchers. And yet somehow these guys are supposed to have 5 perfect ABs a night.

This really was a good win tonight. Solid pitching always puts the team in position to win. Tonight, Wheeler was solid and by going 7 innings, he lightened the load for the bullpen. Strahm and Hoffman were also solid in finishing out the game. The offense also turned out ten hits producing five runs. Enough to win comfortably.

Go for the series win tomorrow.

People may disagree and he’s still got a long way to go but I think Rojas has taken a step forward at the plate since being sent down.

Hard to disagree IMO. Still a work in progress and also he's being used more sparingly but he's been hot lately and has essentially arrived at the .650 OPS plus-plus defensive player we hoped he'd be (even if we still want more). The defense part just as important. This probably would have wound up being a 2.0 WAR season for him if the first two months hadn't been so bad.

Brewers followers think Montas is their #2 playoff starter. His recent starts have all seemed like last nights, good early, gets hit later on. But his pitches and results have been much improved after his trade to the Brewers. The thinking is in the playoffs they can have him in there for his good innings and yank him before he starts getting hit since it's the postseason and the hook comes faster.
