Phillies got 7 outstanding innings of pitching and had forged a slim 2-1 lead. It only takes one bad performance from the pen to blow it all apart. Dominguez looked pretty good in previous outing but clearly did not have the command needed tonight to hold the lead.

What a disaster that 8th inning turned into.

Pretty bad loss after hanging on to a one run lead until the bottom of the 8th.

Offense had multiple chances to score more but couldn't get any runs other than the two solo home runs. Outstanding pitching from Suarez and Alvarado wasted tonight.

Dominguez ERA goes from 1.57 to 2.51 with his 2/3 of an inning tonight. Charged with 5 earned runs for a season total of 13. He gets his 5th loss and 2nd blown save of the year.

Phillies now 0-2 in the final 20 games of the season. Time for this team to step up and show us if they are a playoff level team or not.

I knew how this one turned out and I still couldn't believe it.

I am wondering if we are going to hear anything about Siranthony’s shoulder, elbow, wrist, etc.

You can never rule that out with any pitcher! But it could also just be a bad night/rust.

Or even just hitting a wall for the season which would be unfortunate timing (but also supposedly what putting him on the IL was supposed to sidestep, by getting him some rest and not having pitch through soreness he otherwise might have).

I'm wondering more about Harper's leg, he took a bad foul ball off his back leg and he was not able to plant it while swinging after that, thus messing up his timing and swing path. Hopefully it is not serious, haven't heard anything about it, but the announcers were pointing it out during the game.
