Phillies go in order on three strike outs. I hope the offense today was not over after one batter, but so far, it is looking pretty pathetic. This may well be another loss due to lack of offense and shoddy defensive play. That's where we stand after 5 innings of play.
Pivetta gives up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk, K's 8. The one home run drives in 2 and comes with two outs after a very routine and easy double play was botched. Pivetta pitched well and deserves better support.
