He was the analytics middleman (and to blame for much of the fielding/positioning stuff) with Kapler and then got moved into nutrition and training. Interviewed for a few manager jobs along the way. A fitting ending to a dismal night for the Phillies.

Started well with a lead off home run from Herrera and with Gibson retiring the first 12 he faced.

Not much after that point of the game. Gibson melt down and not really much offense the rest of the way.

A solid loss for the Phillies tonight.

Fuld could actually be pretty good with little authority. Just no way to really know from our vantage point. Jorge Velandia too. I kind of like both of those hires conceptually. Relatively young front office people that theoretically can talk to both the scouts and the analytics guys. Just hard to know if they are good at it.
