Another strange performance from the umpires. First pitch to Harper was called a strike. Then I look back and the four umps are in a conference and the call is reversed to a ball.
When the count to Harper was 3-1, they showed the strike zone box and 3 of the 4 pitches were on the lines of the box, i.e., were strikes, but the count was 3-1. First, the ump was missing the calls, and second, he got one right and then after meeting with the other umps, changed it.
Very strange. I thought Kapler was going to get thrown out of the game as he talked to the umpire after the call reversal.
