Two very weird losses really. Had Soto done his job on Wednesday Harper might have never had that dramatic 300th HR... and then they lost anyway (and maybe Kimbrel still would have blown it either way). Tonight they erase that 3-1 lead and then it doesn't matter.
They are fine. Hopefully they will have a .500 road trip but if you didn't think 2-4 wasn't possible you got caught up in the exuberance of beating up on two bad teams at home when the Brewers are good (they beat us at home this year too) and West Coast trips are tough. But still a long, long, long way from being in any kind of swoon or danger of collapse.
But any one of these relievers could be the Phillies' Jonathan Broxton or Huston Street this year come October. (I won't say Lidge because the Astros still won that series).
