I've been in Europe. Was surprised/pleased I could catch one today even with the extra three hours. But might still be a tall order for the next few days. I'm used to actually living on the West Coast!

I was in Europe from July 4-18 (Dublin, Vienna, nine day guided tour of Slovakia and a couple days in Prague). Yeah, in most cases, I was getting the scores in the mornings.

2007, Game 1 of the playoffs, convinced the folks at the sports bar in Paris to put that game on, Hamels got rocked, so was able to go to bed not too late (9 PM start time over there IIRC). Was kinda expecting the Mets to win the NL East when we planned that trip earlier that summer.

When I used to come to the UK in the '90s and was young and going to rock shows and festivals I can remember putting on the one Sky Sports game of the week (the ESPN Sunday night broadcast) at 1am for at least an hour or two. Hard to believe there was even a Phillies game worth going to the trouble for then but I guess they teased us a few years.

Now I am old and going to rock shows and festivals so other than that Cleveland game when I was still not adjusted to the time zone, couldn't do it (and can't even stay up 'til 1 in Philly for West Coast games).

I watched about half of the Saturday game on Sunday morning (the good half).

Also, I totally would have gone to Passyunk if I had still been in London Sunday night.

I was in Switzerland from July 15-31, so I couldn't watch any games until Sunday. I won't be able to watch any of the games in LA and only a little of the Arizona games. I hate when they're on the west coast, not only because of the opponents, but also for the late times for an early to bed east coast guy.

Does Cotham every say,,,,I think he will get bombed tonight and give up something like 7 runs in 3.2 innings about any of his starting pitchers?,,,,
If he has that feeling why does it take too long to get a starter out some games?
Too bad he couldn't predict what the relief pitcher was going to be able to do recently!

Well, they are private conversations apparently, so I'm sure they do have realistic conversations, just like they often script potential scenarios for the late-middle innings. But he probably didn't get Wheeler's seven-run outing correct either.

If they aren't leaving them in too long they are pulling them too soon right?

A very nice win yesterday! The caveat is that the 8-0 win over Cleveland on July 27 was also a very nice win which also came on the heels of a string of bad games and after that game, the bottom dropped out from under them until yesterday. Let's hope this time things are different.
