Workman and Neris are both guys who were hot last year and struggling more this year, though as always there is also BABIBP luck involved. At least with Phelps we are getting a guy who's actually having a small-sample career year.
Scott and Larry were pretty old man yells at cloud today (I mean, Larry always is) talking about the Phillies possibly making the playoffs under .500. The term "participation trophy" was used. They're not wrong, but you can't really complain about it without acknowledging the extraordinary circumstances of the season. If we're still doing 16 teams in 2022, of course...
I hope we're not under .500. I reckon we'll go .500 or worse in most of the starts by the 4th-6th guys, so it's on the bullpen and the offense not so squander Nola and Wheeler's efforts (and Eflin's too, I hope).
