Last night's ump scorecard had it more even than the night before, matching what was noted in this thread. Only favored Houston by .02. And the two biggest miscalls went our way (the Turner one was #2, even if it felt like #1).

The ump thing is interesting, since the narrative on umpires' calls seems to indicate that name players get more 50/50 calls, so Bryce, Schwarber, Realmuto, Turner, and Castellanos (to some extent) are all "name" players, so the statistical disadvangage of the Phillies seems weird. And if anyone has pissed off MLB it's the Houston "Cheaters", yet they seem to at least hold their own.

WRT to "name" players, while I rode the bus home last night, I followed the game on the Gameday app and couldn't help but notice how Verlander was really nibbling on the edges and they were being called strikes. I said to myself that he got those calls because he's Justin Verlander.
