You need to be careful about this. Looks can be deceiving. Look at his numbers, over time, and don't lower your judgment of his overall value based on style points. That's the Bobby Abreu trap.

Serious question - is there any reason to think a pitcher is more likely to not give up runs after his team scores? Almost seems like it's just the opposite! Arguably there is less pressure on once you have a comfortable lead but they might also pitch more aggressively with a comfortable lead.

In Lorenzen's case I think he's just done though.

Hard to believe but the results are what they are. That error really opened the door but the hits and walk that followed are all on Lorenzen.

Wonder what Johan's DRS is now.

A great fielder is always going to look more casual than a bad one. The bad ones make diving catches that the good fielder wouldn't have had to leave his feet for. Same thing with the wall.

But mostly, he's still a rookie who's never played above AA until he got here. He can make some mistakes, and if the Phillies want him on this championship-aspiring team, they will have to live with them.
