Bohm looks like he can be an average fielding 3B with some hard work, he's actually a pretty good athlete, has a 3B arm, but lacks the instincts right now. But average is all we need to keep him there. Hittingwise he looks ready, I think the Yelich comp makes sense, Bohm right now is more of a pure hitter, but as he gets stronger and more experienced, he should develop more power - but don't change his approach - I'll take 70xBH and 20 HRs and a .300 BA and .500 SA over 30-35 HRs but a .250 BA and .500 SA - higher OBP and more consistency.
Eflin looked good to me, the Green Monster killed him (both doubles would have been outs elsewhere) though he was getting some pitches too high. He's got a nice repertoire now, just has to make tweaks. 2.79 FIP suggests he's not far away. Really changed this year, primarily 2 seamer and slider, needs to develop that changeup to take the next step, but that's the specialty of the new PC.
Is this the same team we saw a week ago? Who are these imposters?
Harper looks like he's really focused on becoming a hitter this year instead of trying to pull every ball 500 feet. If he pulls that transition off, he's got a shot at the HOF the way he's pounding the ball.
Good to see Hoskins and Cutch finally starting to hit.
Gosselin should play every day until he shows he can't handle it, the way he's hitting, we may be looking at a late bloomer, because it sure isn't BABIP luck, he's pounding the ball. Let Kingery get healthy.
If Quinn can just stay away from trying to hit HRs he has a bright future, later in the game he reverted to that big swing with his usual bad results.
