A real struggle today with men on base. Need that big hit.
Weird, the version playing on NBC Sports Philly is about an inning off. Just now saw the DP that Hoskins got doubled off first. Incredible throw by Aquino
Cable or streaming service? Sometimes mine just turns out to have been paused or long-buffered for some reason (whether it's one AB or one inning).
Hope they don't let the Reds steal this one.
Lodolo is going to be a good one, still we've had our opportunities. Hopefully Suarez can keep them at bay and our bats can get that big hit.
What happened to this GDT?
Game scoreless after seven innings.
Still scoreless going to the bottom of the 8th.
Suare goes 7 innings, 0 runs, 3 hits, 2 walks, 8 Ks.
Robertson with a scoreless 8th inning.
0-0 going to the ninth.
Phillies go down 1-2-3 in the top of the ninth.
ah well
Reds win in bottom of the ninth.
Dominguez pitching. K to first hitter. Then a four pitch walk. Another K on three pitches. Then two singles.
The four pitch walk scores.
Phillies shutout four times in last seven games. If they score, they win.
We just did not have that great a lineup out there today. Our two left-handed hitters that can hit left-handed pitching a bit (Harper and Schwarber) did not start. They just force more pitches and pressure on the opposing starter over time also.
Seranthony was more unlucky than bad. Good we are going home. Most teams have injury issues these days including the Mets. Time to recharge and add a body for Marsh if he is going to be about for the weekend (the series is too big to go shorthanded even if Marsh would be back before 10 days).
tough loss although I am really much more confident in their pitching now. Suarez is really establishing himself. a real steady #3. I am much more relieved at letting Eflin go now. I think he can be a strong #3, but can't stay healthy. really still like him but not for the money he wants. also, he might not want to stay with that previous grievance he has with the Phils. I'd look to put the money in to Nola and another extension for Wheeler. The young kids are on their way.gm
