The Phillies' offensive funk is becoming more than just a blip. They've scored more than three runs only twice in the last eight games. Do they miss Hoskins that badly?

Yes, and way too much Torreyes, Herrera, Jankowski, Miller, and Gregorius. Need more Bohm. And in a wildcard I might say Adam Haseley in September too among our limited options. And Galvis over Torreyes/CF in certain situations.

I also think they suffer from Didi and Cutch having a bit of rust after being on the DL. Segura’s bat has gone cold.

Benching Bohm while Hoskins is out, at least this much, does seems misguided. At least he was hitting. OTOH maybe we lose last night 5-2 with a few unearned runs.

This team never has a margin for error when multiple aspects go cold at the same time. The bats carried them for a bit and then they didn't get enough from Wheeler and Nola when the offense flagged. And while you'd like to think they can handle AZ as easily as they did the Nats and Cubs in recent road series, they still struggle away from home.
