Quinn just is prone to injuries. I doubt he will ever change. I hope this one is not too bad and he doesn't miss much playing time.
We know Velasquez is only going to go so far into the game and then likely will become ineffective. After five scoreless innings, I was concerned that he would reach that point in the sixth and he did. I would think that the manager would be watching carefully at that point. I think I would have made the pitching change after the two back to back hits, but I guess I understand trying to give VV a chance to go further into the game. It ended up leading to 3 SD runs and making the game much too close. Lucky for us that Harper got those 3 back in the bottom of the inning, but we cannot count on that happening every time.
Overall, a good night. The offense puts up 8 runs and Velasquez pitches 5 scoreless innings before letting down in the sixth, but the bullpen was up to the task tonight with the good offensive output.
