Good to get the win in game one in Cincinnati. Everyone in the lineup had a hit except Vierling, who does seem to be in a slump. Good to see the team continue to get runners on base. The home runs will return.
Syndergaard gave us seven good innings and continues to do the job he was brought in to do. Looking back, he probably should not have gone out for the eighth, but he didn't have a high pitch count. Scoreless innings from Robertson and Dominguez continue the good bullpen outings.
Looking forward to a good start from Gibson tomorrow and the return of the home run to the Phillies' lineup.
