I assume the same rules apply for OPS as batting average, so they just keep adding PA until he qualifies. At some point Acura’s adjusted OPS (with the fake PA) will make his lower than Harpers

Hes ten points ahead of Harper. Just did some math and it appears that after adding and 0 for 4 he drops below Harper. Since they assume 3.1 PA a game, that would be tomorrow.

Neither did I. Kinda surprised he/she didn't demand a postgame review of Moore's hat and glove to expose the obvious cheating he had to have done to win.

I don't get How A.J. Preller gets away with the stuff that he does in SD. Ownership has given him money and overlooked some organizational gaffes in hopes that he will put together a winner. The best that he can do is come in third in the NL West. It rivals the MacPhail/Klentak in failure.

The Nationals (1-9), Cubs (0-10, their second double-digit losing streak this season), Pirates (1-9), Orioles (0-10) and Rangers (2-8) are a combined 4-46 over the last ten game period. Some of these teams were also the biggest sellers at the deadline.

For Preller, this Padres rebuild is a second chance. Remember how in the 2014-15 offseason he traded a bevy of prospects only to end up with a team that wasn't very good and had to he to rebuild again. Preller strikes me as something of an Ed Wade, a good builder who cannot finish.

Preller definitely got a long leash after the first false start but I don't think you can rip him too hard for building the second-best team in the NL last season, and what has been the third-best team for much of the current season. The recent swoon has also come without Tatis Jr.

The question is will the Giants pass them by as the second-best team in the West longer-term? And will the Dodgers ever slip? It's basically the Blue Jays' longstanding predicament in the AL East. Except San Diego should probably be the Tampa of that division.
