I don't like taking Franco out of the game early. He had a big hit to drive in two runs earlier and they might need some more offense in this game. Also with a 4 man bench, they might need Valentin in another role before the end of the game.

I agree especially with the pitchers spot leading off the inning. Take your out an play with only 2 this inning (as it turned out it will be the same as VAlentin K'ed anyways)

Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think Gabe is reluctant to go to Neshek and it would not surprise me if Neshek is still not healthy. We've seen him face two hitters since his return.
