The state of our rotation is still pretty much on the previous regime, but it's looking like Klentak's patience with this group (and I'll include the AAA guys too) was not warranted. Unless he's on the AF 2021 timeline, but if that's the case you don't trade Alfaro and Sixto.
If this is truly a team that's only in the wild card race - and given it might be in third place at the break, that's gonna be the case - I very much doubt anyone in the front office will want to be foolish at the deadline. They'll still make moves, and they'll be bigger than last year, but they aren't going to fill every hole. Klentak's statement about the 25 guys who are here having to do it wasn't just smoke I don't think. But that still depends greatly on the health of the bullpen (they'll still get a starter and a some kind of bat).
