I'm not defending Castellanos' performance here (although an RBI single is nice). I just find it really tiring that the barbs are so predictable. Sometimes it seems like philliesphans.com is really "phillyfanswhine.com."

I think this is true about every fan board everywhere of every team. Have you seen the best record Yankees fans comments about Joey Gallo? Go on twitter and you will find negative comments from every fan base. And its probably true of every sport.

The RBIs are nice for Castellanos, but he is still not stinging the ball, which is what he was known for before he came here. If he can recapture that, it would be a big lift for the team.

Stott getting his BA up to .200 means he is doing much better than that of late. He looks like a keeper.

Yeah, I think so - particularly given that he really was rushed to the big leagues.

That said, i don't think the Phils need to give him a seven-year extension just yet!

This is probably true. ... It doesn't say much about us, as a subset of humanity, does it?

The long-time summer athletic coordinator in our summer home community had a firm, often-reiterated "no whining" policy for the kids. No complaining about other kids' performance, no complaining about officiating - you're blessed to be here, to be healthy, to be alive. No whining.

I don't always live up to that... but it would be nice to think I try!
