Clearly not a good inning. Nola was sailing along but started the seventh with that walk. After the single, it might have been time to go to the bullpen, but Nola had been strong over the first six innings and his pitch count was still (I think) still in the 80s, so I can see letting him in. After the 3 run home run, I think he should have been taken out. Certainly after the second home run of the inning. Looks to me that Kapler doesn't trust the bullpen.

That half inning sure takes some of the "good feeling" away from the game today.
It's hard not to feel down watching the Braves clearly dominating this series in Philadelphia.

To me, Nola was still pitching pretty well heading into the 7th with a fairly low pitch count. I don’t have a problem with Kapler leaving him in through the Albies at bat. I think Kapler trusts Nola more than any of his other pitchers. I think Nola has earned that trust.
