While it seemed inevitable that Howard would have a meltdown, the first two hits were not hit very hard - Turner broke his bat on his looping single to CF. But once adversity hit, Howard came up small

And only every five days, which isn't especially helpful (unless it's a deliberate tandem situation).

They either need to convert him or be really sure he can come back with stamina as a starter next year (blister or no blister this time).
