Oh I'm not criticizing Bohm at all and have warmed up to him (I neither expect nor want them to trade for Candelario at this point, for instance. Also, I do actually like him emotionally, just don't think he's more than a decent player).
I just wouldn't have personally made him the player of the game, which he was. But obviously game-winning hit is game-winning hit. If it had been a hockey game I'm sure the guy who scored the OT winner would have gotten first star over the guy who tied it with 10 seconds left too. But I'm also sure the win probability chart says Stott's hit was bigger at the time each of them came to the plate.
I was also referencing the fact that I'd predicted the Phillies might tie the game and still lose it. But for all the RISP struggles, that cynicism/negadelphianism not actually called for as they are 7-2 in extra-inning games, and the home team is supposed to be favored (with or without the ghost runner but especially with) at that point.
