The Phillies went 2-4 on a road trip before the London trip. It also wasn't that long ago they swept the Dodgers at home. The All-Star break couldn't have helped, and obviously the injuries didn't either. But they are fine. This swoon was always coming. They could play .525ish baseball (as they have since June 1) and probably still win the East. They could play .500 ball and probably still be the top wild card (and before anyone says that would mean going into the playoffs with poor momentum, that doesn't mean much either).
But they will be better than that. Hopefully starting with the next homestand.
This could also all be a blessing in disguise if you want them to be bold at the deadline.
