People whine in the game day threads like they are yelling at their TV. All trees no forest. But that's okay. We get plenty of forest in the broader discussions.
This team feels almost exactly like last year's to me still. Pretty good, sometimes better than that, sometimes worse. Doesn't feel like they'd be able to beat a quality opponent in a playoff series...except, in fact, they could and did last year (until they couldn't and didn't).
And this was still a good homestand. Last night is the game I would have liked to see them win. Getaway day against a dominant Corbin Burnes with no JT felt like an "L" in advance. No help having a LHB (including the 1B and our good hitters) against him.
