Just wow!
Let's start Wheeler in the 10th inning! He would give them the best chance to win that game right? Then he can start the regulation game as well!
Sounds good to me!
When does this game start back up today?
1PM EST
wonder if the bot is able to handle a suspended game
Top of the 10th, tied at 2. Jose Alvarado on the mound for the Phils.
Sandy Leon starts the inning at second base.
Jon Berti bats...
low, 1-0strike called, 1-1rain delay...game suspended.
7/18, 1 pm...
inside, 2-1strike called, 2-2foul, 2-2strike 3 called! One away.
Isan Diaz, pinch-hitting...
takes a strike, outside corner, 0-1swing, no contact, 0-2tap foul, 0-2way outside, 1-2low and away, check swing, 2-2line drive to right, but Harper is there. Runner holds, two away.
Jazz Chisholm...
takes a strike called, 0-1just outside, 1-1farther outside, 2-1fly ball to left, McCutchen comes in, makes the catch. Marlins retired.
Mid-10th, still 2-2.
Kudos to Alvarado for coming out and setting down the Marlins, leaving the ghost runner still on second.
I really want the Phillies to win this game in the bottom of the tenth. Please.
Bottom of the 10th. Due up: Segura, Realmuto, Harper.
Travis Jankowski opens the inning at second.
Pitching for Miami: Yimi Garcia
Jean Segura leads off...
bunts foul, 0-1bunts to the pitcher, out 1-4, Jankowski to third, one away.
Interesting that the Phillies start by sacrificing the runner to third.
Marlins are using 5 infielders
J.T. Realmuto...
fouls off the first pitch, 0-1foul, 0-2fly ball, right field....OUTTA HERE! Walk-off home run!
Phils win, 4-2.
That was sweet.
Phillies are 2 back
Even 6 infielders would not have helped the Marlins on that one.
Great to win the game and do it quickly. Now regroup and go into the regular game with Wheeler pitching.
Great job by Realmuto to get this done quickly. Also have to give Alvarado credit for the 1-2-3 set down in the top of the tenth.
Overcomes the blown save and gets the win.
Counting on the 'bot for today's game..
Thank Julio. Big win. 2 games back and Wheeler going today!
One inning's pretty easy - it's maintaining the necessary concentration/focus for nine (or more) that gets really challenging - and that's without trying to incorporate line scores, etc.
