Philadelphia Phillies
Kimbrel was warming up on and off that whole very long inning. I hope that doesnt hurt his effectiveness
Phillies 1 for 9 with RISP. LOB: 9.
Hate leaving bases loaded, but the Mets handed the Phillies 3 runs with the walk and HBPs.
Need the scoreless inning from Kimbrel.

If @StevenACohen2 doesn’t fire Buck after todays game he won’t this season. Buck threw a game in which it was a massive rubber match against a division rival. Such an embarrassment.— Andrew Livingston ( @AndrewLiv ) June 25, 2023

In hindsight, not so much lol. Mets absolutely suck. Time to fire Buck, the batting coach and pitching coach. Clean sweep. 350M for a minor league team that can’t catch routine popups. Embarrassing.— James ( @JamesJamesnjen ) June 24, 2023

OH NOW THEY GET D ROB UP. i’ve been very hesitant to be on the fire buck train and be super critical of him, but THAT ENDS NOW. This is a fireable 8th inning— Justin Gianelli ( @jgianelli12 ) June 25, 2023

So what did Buck do wrong there? His ancient closer had a 5 out save yesterday.
Mets fans have been calling for Buck's head for a month now at least
It just does not seem like a last straw type game. The Met's fielding has not been great this series. Hard to say that is on the manager and that was Baty's weakness. Not the manager's fault they traded the older and more reliable 3B (and in the middle of the game leaving them down a player).
It's the record combined with the payroll. The owner isn't going to fire himself and I think the GM is good for now.
Even though we won, the hitting was pathetic, as it has been over the past week. There were three innings where our hitters should have racked up a lot of crooked numbers, and had to rely on walks and hit batsmen in order to eke out a victory.
I had to stop watching after the 6th and had no idea this happened. Glad our own pen didn't blow it!
