They've tried just about everything - except to sign or trade for a legit star closer (Robertson came the closest and also demonstrated the downside of such a move. We should have picked Miller or Britton probably though.

The bullpen doesn't strike me as the story of this season though. Everything is just a little bit lacking, including the rotation lately (if not today).

I may yet lose some money I don't really want to lose on the over/under this year.

I think Kapler deserved a third year but he would have gotten the same results Joe did last year, only difference is we wouldn't have to change managers a third time, since it seems inevitable that Joe won't last and Dombrowski makes his own hire. I liked Gabe but you can't say he wasn't in over his head. He is a successful baseball man when he works for quality people.

I think you raise a good point - I believe on WiP yesterday 70% plus said it was time for a rebuild. If they trade Realmuto or Wheeler or Nola it won't be popular with the media and CBP will be empty, but overall, the fans will be on board, and CBP will be empty anyway.
