It's worth noting with Marte that over 19 appearances (17.2 innings) thus far he's given up runs in only six of them. He was on a pretty good run from late April through Thursday (granted Thursday's five runs ended were eventually ruled unearned).
But when he's off, he seems to get shelled - over the six games (5.1 inn) he has allowed runs, he's allowed 18 (13 earned). And his current ERA (6.62) is floating in the vicinity of what he posted over 48 innings in SF last year (5.44).
