It felt like maybe he was going to turn the corner, solid in London, good enough in Baltimore, both with reasonable length for a 5th starter (5 2/3). As opposed to those earlier games where, like you said, he was only good enough with run support. But the stuff just isn't coming around. And if he's not hurt and hasn't been able to make adjustments or find some of that missing velocity, well...
It will be interesting to see, just in terms of procedure.
And no, the sky isn't falling but I would have definitely preferred to keep that 9-10 game cushion heading into July when the schedule gets serious.
The timing at this point may be just right, and necessary. He ate 10 starts for them, they went 4-6 which isn't bad (except, ugh, it was 4-1, now 0-5 in the last five). And Turnbull is probably good for 15-18 starts and another 70-100 innings now (which would also max out his incentives). They still need to try and get Walker right for any other possible injury or even a brief six-man stretch like last year.
