I can’t see how Familia lasts much longer on this team.

This is about when they finally cut Hale, but he was cheap. Kintzler lasted until early August but was also injured (vaccine injury, IIRC ).

He would have been long gone if not for his contract. Still, it has almost become impossible to keep him on the active roster. Maybe DD hopes he can ship him out closer to the trade deadline. Some team may take a chance and relievers often perform better or worse after a change of team.

I am concerned with the performance Sunday and tonight. Offense seems to be struggling. Hopefully, Harper will be back soon but they need more than just Harper. A couple of Schwarber, Castellanos, Hoskins, Realmuto, and Gregorius must be contributing at any given time.

I am getting very tired of watching Castrllanos hit infield grounders with runners in scoring position. He can’t even hit a fly ball to advance a runner. Seems to me that across the league there is now a book on him that says pitch him low & away, he will try to pull it and get himself out.
