Though it's nice when a hot shot rookie is your #5 SP.

Kemp is nickel and diming his way into a permanent spot, funny thing, his calling card was power.
If he gets comfortable and starts wacking the ball, they'll have to find a spot for him.

Kepler has a 1.056 OPS in the last 7 days. Kemp .681 in that same time frame and .599 overall, so still not a huge threat to take away any weak side ABs (or any from Sosa).

Ironically the last time they played the Cubs in April in taking 2/3, they got hot right after that. Winning streak now is right after playing Cubs. Phillies match up well against Dodgers and Cubs. Not the best fit against Mets.

They definitely seem to like his offense more than Wilson. Wilson could have played 1B against RHP as much as Kemp. Kemp's swing and miss issues will likely come up with broader exposure but there is a good chance he replaces Wilson in the LF platoon since they don't see fit to use him anywhere else.

Well, it's only been three games against the other teams. They have yet to play the Dodgers in LA (which will have tiebreaker implications) or the Mets at home (coming up soon).

Worst match-up by that small sample standard is Brewers (three home losses).
