I was surprised they went with Soto (after his one out) and Ruiz. Yeah everyone pitched last night and it's been a long week (and was a late night) but with Wheeler tomorrow they shouldn't need all of the top four.
But I also think it was a bit of a white flag in a game neither the offense nor Walker could win (he made it out alive just wasn't the better pitcher) as well as an exercise in wondering if/where Soto and Ruiz fit in a month from now.
But where does Spencer Turnbull fit in? Couldn't he have just been the only other pitcher after Soto?
