Noticed they flipped Bohm and Kemp defensively. I guess they could be saying Kemp is worse than Bohm at both positions and might as well keep Bohm where he is most comfortable defensively with Harper due back shortly.

I think I heard it stated that because they view Bohm as their regular third baseman once Harper is back, they wanted to move Bohm back there and play Kemp at first base once he felt comfortable at this less familiar position (for him). So I assume they've been working with Kemp during the past week to get a lot of practice reps at first base, and now feel that he's not going to mess up too badly by playing there in real games.

I listened to most of the game while driving. A nice win and Phillies win series from the Cubs. A step in the right direction.

It was comforting to see Luzardo pitch well again. Only one run in six innings. No walks and ten Ks.

I was at today’s game and was really impressed with Luzardo, he dominated the Cubs lineup and appeared very calm and in control.

The impressive thing about Luzardo's performance is it was day time against a good hitting Cubs team.
So it wasn't a "gimme" start against a weak hitting team in a pitcher's ballpark.

I thought it was a matter of tweaks, he was throwing 97-98 when he was getting hit around, so it didn't seem like arm trouble was the issue.

The speculation was that he was somehow tipping his pitches; the implication is that he and/or the coaching staff identified what was happening, and corrected it. We'll see, as the season goes on.

He changed his glove position for sure (per The Athletic story). But it was also pitch selection/mix (including not throwing his sinker even once). And presumably execution. He's certainly not the first great or even good pitcher to have a few awful ones.
