I mean, they won 90 games last year. They are kind of the Phillies if the Phillies had stayed in rebuild mode longer, or were just a little more patient (about anything), or had more young talent, obviously. DiPoto was hired the same year as his pal Klentak and is now in his 7th season, with the promotion to President last year.
OTOH while he's had three winning season, they still haven't made the playoffs (and for a lot longer than the Phillies).
The other measuring stick is probably the Padres, where Preller is still hanging on. Not saying the Phillies should have kept Klentak, just too bad they didn't hire better (starting with MacPhail) in the first place.
